No18 is a cosmopolitan members’ club where co-working meets a residential atmosphere, inspired by the hospitality business with a unique eclectic aesthetic. Founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2012, No18 is a part of IWG and steadily expanding worldwide with new locations in Asia, North America and Europe.

Working closely with IWG and the owners, Stylt created a set of design guidelines during which time we developed an efficient way of working to take the entire design process from 3+ months to 6 weeks or less per project, allowing the brand to scale. We established a working relationship and helped develop an efficient process for circular procurement of vintage furniture, art, rugs, props, and lamps with a dealer in the Netherlands. Items were requested and sourced from vintage stock, cleaned, repaired and reupholstered if needed and shipped to location. The goal was to have 90% of common area furniture to be reclaimed vintage.

My responsibilities as lead designer included close collaboration with IWG, the owners and architects worldwide, where I was involved even at the early stage of site visits, documentation and assessments, initial feasibility schematics before the lease was even signed, mood boards and presentations. Some planned locations included historical sites or had special local significance which was incorporated into the design.

I coordinated work within our design team in close collaboration with the owners and our project manager. My solutions oriented role included not only managing our design team, but also space planning, furniture plans, finalizing furniture and finishes, artwork and local props procurement. I helped source local artists that could paint custom murals at each location to keep the connection to the area. I also coordinated renderings through a remote service in Poland.
